THE FATHER/SON RULE

THE FATHER - SON RULE

In our Australian football competition there is a rule where a son gets automatic acceptance into the team that his father may have played with. It’s called the “father/son rule”. Those two words played on my mind, and I thought that it would be a great Kingdom principal. So I searched God’s Word to see if it actually exists.

I share with you what I found in 2 Corinthians 6:

V 17 The Instruction. “Come out from among unbelievers (v 14) and be separate and touch not the unclean thing. Understand and live this beloved.

V 17 The Promise.  “Then I will receive you and treat you with favor".

V 18 The Agreement.  “And I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters” (jointly the Sons of God). This Agreement was made and signed with the Blood of Jesus for He is the only access to The Father.

How awesome this is….There IS a Kingdom Father/Son Rule!

Now – we read in Galatians 4:6 “And because you are Sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of HIS SON, into your heart crying Abba Father”.

This is beautiful – God sent the Spirit of Jesus into us so that we could also call God our Father. So we as Sons share the same relationship with our Father that Jesus does.

Abba Father

Mark 14:36.   In the garden Jesus cried out “Abba Father”.
“Abba” is an Aramaic word for “Father”. The word “Father” was the Greek word for an ancestral father. So Jesus called out in 2 different languages.

The Aramaic word “Abba” has a sense of intimate respect as “The Father”, and the other word has the general meaning of "My Father". There is a trend around Christians today where people are calling our Father “daddy” and “papa” which I personally find disrespectful. It is irreverent and should never be used.

There is no precise translation of “Abba”, but it is best represented by “Father”. It refers mainly to a Spiritual relationship with our Father, denoting trust, love and a personal relationship worthy of respect and reverence.
So Father has sent the Spirit of Jesus into us to enable us to know Him just as Jesus does.

Romans 8:14,15. The Sons are led by the Spirit of God. We have received the Spirit of Adoption whereby we cry Abba Father. This agrees with Galatians 4:6, but reveals to us that the Spirit of Jesus outworks in us to make us Sons of God by adoption. The SPIRIT OF ADOPTION produces SONSHIP. Nothing else can produce Sonship. If you hear a preacher say otherwise, then get up and leave because he is not preaching truth. You are responsible for what you sit and listen to.

Now, back to the Father/Son Rule:

So the Father/Son rule does exist in The Kingdom of God! – How awesome. Through Jesus, we have direct access to our Father’s Kingdom just as Jesus does.

This means that we are Kingdom people, not earthly people, and our minds should be tuned to Kingdom principles rather than the things of earth. Nowhere in Jesus teachings did He ever say to seek after things on the earth. In fact He was quite the opposite. I’m not against things which God may bless us with, but it’s a matter of the place they have in our lives because they can easily become idols. If something is an idol the probability is that it didn't come from God! I have seen this happen in people’s lives, and I try to imagine how Jesus feels when He sees it in the lives of professing Christians. In my wider family there are  both millionaires and  bankrupts – and these are professing Christians….it saddens and hurts me so much to see this. It's not the heart of God.

I guess I’m saying that the Sons of God will open their hearts of mercy and love because that’s how they think, and it’s the mind of Jesus.

Friends, in the Father/Son Rule, Jesus will be revealed. You see there is a three-fold cord in The Kingdom: - Father, Jesus and Holy Ghost, and it cannot be broken. God has birthed this same principle for His Sons: - Father, Jesus and His Sons, and this three-fold cord is not easily broken.

I like what Paul said of himself in Galatians 1:15

“When it pleased God, He separated me from my mother’s womb and Called me by His Grace – V 16 – to reveal Jesus in me”.

“Separated” here lit means “bordered off”. You see whom God calls He puts a border around them to make them like Jesus. This is a Kingdom border, and will protect us from the outside world. If you feel a border around your life, this is why. This border will be circumstances which God creates to get you apart.  The true Sons of God know this.

What happened to Paul after he was called:-

  •             V 16 Immediately he conferred not with flesh and blood. In other words he didn’t seek counsel or opinion from worldly people

  •        V 17 He didn’t approach the apostles. I think he knew that his calling was unique and the apostles may have questioned this

  •               V 17 He went to the Arabian desert. This is where he was caught up into the higher things of The Kingdom. Beloved find a quiet place to hear from Him.

  •          V 18 After these 3 years he returned to Jerusalem and spent 15 days with Peter. Now that’s interesting – why Peter? I am sure that Father sent him there because Peter had Kingdom keys in his heart. It was also maybe to humble Paul I would think. Maybe too there were things which Paul taught Peter.

You see beloved, when God separates us, He always has a purpose, and it will be accompanied by His Grace. This Grace will operate to cleanse us from the filth of the world and to produce the mind of Jesus in us. So He builds the border around us to protect us. Do not despise this border.

There is no “calling” without “grace”, because our Father knows that we cannot do this in our own strength. He will also Isolate us because we need to hear from Him - not man. When God separates you He will also teach you one on one, and then place Kingdom hearts around you.

Joseph is a type of the Sons of God.

Genesis 49:26 He was separated from his brothers in pretty ordinary circumstances, and the Full Blessings of The Father were upon his head.
In Deuteronomy 33:16 we are told of Joseph that …..

“THE BLESSING OF THE ONE IN THE BURNING BUSH”
……. was on the head of Joseph.

So we see that the Full Blessings of The Father are in the Burning Bush.
How awesome is this!

What is The Blessing Of The One In The Burning Bush?

Both Deut. 4:24 and Hebrews 12:29 tell us that “God is a consuming fire”, yet in the Exodus 3:2 burning bush He did not consume it.

When God calls us as He did with Moses,

  •       He will bring some miraculous way to get our attention
  •        He will stimulate our curiosity
  •             When He has our attention and our curiosity,
  •        HE WILL CALL US AND REVEAL HIS PURPOSES FOR US.

Maybe these things have happened in your life but you haven’t understood why. Let me encourage you – seek Jesus about this and he will show you.

Now, we are told that this was “on the head of Joseph, who is the type of the Sons”.

Beloved if you know the call of Sonship, The Blessing Of The One In The Burning Bush is upon your head. Glory to Jesus.

God will have His Beloved Sons brought to the Full image of Jesus. He will cause the Burning Bush Blessing to be upon their heads to bring this to pass.

He wants His Sons in the “Rule”. Like the father of the prodigal son, He wants us home in His full Blessing. He will bring His Sons out of the filth of the world and put a border around them.

There is a confused teaching in the Church about “Sonship”. Yes, when we were born-again we all became children of God, but there is a higher calling into Sonship. Amongst the sons of Jacob, Sonship went to Joseph who received the “double portion” blessing. The Blessing was upon his head. This message will not be received among the religious, and I am sure that His Sons know the calling, for they have hungered and thirsted after Jesus. They are Kingdom people, and have a consuming Kingdom fire upon their heads. They do not follow man or the decrees of the religious.

I have preached the Kingdom of Jesus and His Fullness for many years, and have had my share of abuse and condemnation, but it only goes to strengthen me in my heart after Him. You will never see me ask for one dollar and my only purpose is to speak the Word which Jesus gives me and to encourage those who have a like heart. I made a covenant with Jesus in 1979 that I would believe what He taught me, and I have never wavered from that.

I Bless you in Jesus Name, and encourage you in your walk with Him. He Loves you would have you to seek His Face with your whole heart.

“I am your Father of Love and Mercy, and it is in these that I call you My Sons. I give you the joint inheritance with Jesus. He understands this from eternity past and has waited with great joy to see many Sons brought into Glory and to have His nature come forth in them to where they look in a mirror and see Him clearly. There is a Sonship order my beloved, and I have separated you that you might be changed into it. I have done this with patience and grace but my times are hastening to where I wait to hear you ask Me to complete this work in you. Do not resist My ways, and receive with gladness the fire which consumes not, for in that is My Blessing upon your head. Learn from this, for the day is coming when you will call down My fire which will consume the natural things on Elijah’s altar and I will show Myself through your boldness and My Power within you. Like Paul, I separated you from the natural womb, and again you are being separated from the church day womb to come forth as My new priesthood birthed from the power of an endless life. Walk with Me My beloved Sons and look not to the right or the left”.

Always for Jesus, Larry Wilson.
