THE GLORY OF THE LORD

THE GLORY OF THE LORD

What is the Glory of the Lord?  It is spoken of, prophesied about, preached about and read about in the bible. But what actually is His Glory?
The very simple answer is in the Bible.

In Exodus33, Moses is having this dialogue with Jehovah about their relationship. In V18, he asks, “I beseech Thee, Show me Thy Glory”.
V 19, the Lord replied, “I will make all My Goodness pass before you, I will proclaim the Name before you, and will be Gracious and Merciful”.
He then told Moses to meet Him on Mt. Sinai, and in V 22, said that His Glory would pass by. Now in 34:6, the Lord passed by Moses to show him His Glory. What He showed him, was His Name and His Nature:
The Lord, The Lord God. His Glory is in the Name.
He revealed His Nature, that He is Merciful, Gracious, Long-suffering, Goodness, Truth, Forgiving

In V 8, Moses made haste, bowed his head and worshiped when he saw the Glory of God.
You see beloved, the Glory of the Lord is simply His Divine Nature, all encompassed in His Name. He manifested in a cloud in the Holy of Holies, but with Moses He revealed Himself in person.
When we take on His Glory, we take His Divine Nature, but for this to happen, the old Adamic nature has to be burnt out. This is done in fire and tribulation.

I have listened to preachers speaking of the Glory of God in their total ignorance. The Sons of God like Moses have cried out, “Show me Thy Glory”, and like Moses, the Lord heard them. The sons are greater than Moses, because he only had an understanding shown him. But the Sons of God can actually take on His Glory.

We are changed into His image from Glory to Glory. This is a growth of coming more into His image as the human is burnt out of us. This is nothing to do with our initial rebirth, but the dealing of the Lord which takes you back to the Tree of Life through the rent veil of the soul.
As I write, the Lord impresses me that:

“before we were conceived, in God’s heart, we were as gold. When we were born however, we had the dross of Adam’s nature born into us and when you add to this the dross of human life, the gold was impure. The Sons of God have been put to the refiner’s fire to burn out the dross, in which process it floats to the top and is scooped from the gold. For them this burning has been a tribulation, but this is the word that the Lord wants you to hear: “the same fire that burns the dross, is at the same time purifying the gold”

It helps you to understand the scripture that says to “count it all joy when you fall into trials”. You see, it depends what you recognize – do you major on the hurting, or do you see the perfecting?  It is the same fire doing both.
In Romans 9:23, Paul reflects: “that He might make known the riches of His Glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore, prepared unto Glory”.

Relating this to His Elect, they are:
made ready beforehand
vessels of His mercy
a reflection of His Glory

In Romans 9:21, God has the power to make one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor. To those who reject the truth of Sonship, I urge you to seek His face on these things. He is the potter and has the right to create whatever He desires, and to do with a person whatever He desires. V 15, He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy.

The scorners of this Truth accuse the believers of elitism. Well it’s a fact, but only the initiated can accept it. That is not to say that on hearing this truth a Light cannot be lit in the hearer’s heart. God throughout the Bible has His favorites. Israel was His chosen people. Abraham was His friend. He chose David. Jesus chose twelve disciples, but Peter James and John were His favorites. He chose Paul who even said that he was the greatest apostle. He has His Elect.
The Sons of God have been made ready beforehand. During their lives, the Lord allowed circumstances to affect their lives, to cause them to hear the trumpet call, and in order that they may be vessels of Mercy. He has moulded these vessels as the potter. All Christians have been saved by His Mercy, but there is a higher realm of Mercy, which is found at the Mercy Seat in the realm of His Glory presence. All that his Sons are, and will ever be, is because they are vessels of Mercy. Ephesians 2 says that His Mercy is Rich, and His Grace is Rich. He is all Richness. His Divine Nature reflects this.

We can only reflect His Nature as we come into His image. What do I reflect? What do you reflect?  Our nature or His? I am not talking about what we say or profess, but rather what we reflect. John the Baptist’s confession is so true; “He must increase, I must decrease”. Isaiah 9:7 says that of the Increase of His government there shall be no end. This increase will come from David’s Throne and Kingdom, with justice and judgement. The zeal of the Lord Himself will do this. For His Kingdom to increase without end there must always be kings on David’s throne. If you have the Heart of God as David did, you will see these things in the spirit. John 3:12, Jesus said that if Nicodemus would not believe earthly things He told, how could he believe heavenly things!  Jesus must have Heavenly things to tell else He would not have said it. The Man from the Heavens with His image understands the heavenly things. If you want to understand heavenly things then you have to have your mind lifted into the higher realms. John 3:31 – “He that comes from above is above all. He that is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He that comes from Heaven is above all”. Jesus is speaking of Himself in particular, but when you bring in 1 Corinthians 15:48, which states that those that come into His image are also Heavenly, Jesus words equally apply to them. To come into His image is to take on His Divine Nature which is His Glory.
When you become born-again you have “Christ in you, the hope of Glory” (Col.1:27). At salvation, a hope enters in, that at some point you will come into the Glory of Jesus. In Romans 5:2, Paul says “we rejoice in hope of the Glory of God”. This hope is to come into His full likeness, His Perfection. You may well ask like Moses, “show me Your Glory” and you would get the same answer that he got, which was a revelation of  the Divine Nature of God.

In Philippians 3:19-21, Paul compares the earthly with the Heavenly. The earthly have their mind on earthly things and their glory is in their shame. He saw himself as a citizen of the Heavenly state, but as he says he was looking for the Lord to change him from mortal to immortal. The word “vile” relating to the body  in V 21, means “low estate”.  I  love what V 21 says, that “Jesus is able to set in order all things unto Himself”.

Isaiah 22:15-25:
Here we have the account of a man Shebna, who had a position of  authority in the king’s palace. This man was building for himself status symbols of tombs and chariots and the trappings of office from his ministry. It was all in vain however, as the Lord was going to remove Shebna and replace him. V 20, “and it shall come to pass in that day”. Beloved, the Lord has plans and times when He shall accomplish His will. He is able to set in order all things unto Himself. The Lord “has a Day yet to be revealed on this earth. This is His Kingdom Day of revealing His Glory and whether we like it or not or even believe it, God will bring to pass all His plans. To accomplish them however, He has always needed a people willing. The only plan that He did not use man for was to die on the cross for the redemption of the world. He did it Himself.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, do it now. Accept by faith that He died for you and ask Him to come into your life.
Well, He fulfilled His plan here. Shebna was ousted V 25, and all those dependent on him fell with him. He was replaced by Eliakim whose name literally means “God is setting up”. The meaning of names in scripture is always significant as the name reflected the person’s character or relationship with God. You see this man represents the fulfilling of a plan that the Lord had. He was part of a new day move of God. Eliakim replaced the removed Shebna and the robe of office and the girdle of strength and authority were transferred to him. He was to be a Father to the people of God. He would be their teacher, counselor, friend, and leader. V 22, He had the Key of the House of David on His shoulder. With this Key of David he had complete authority which no man could challenge. As a fastened hanging nail, the nation would rest securely on him, and he was for a Glorious Throne. All the Glory of his father’s house was hung on him.
Eliakim is of course a type of the God-man Jesus Christ the son of David, but is also a type of the Manchild of Rev. 12.

Shebna represents the anti-type Manchild. These are the religious leaders of today who are building for themselves status symbols and trappings of office. They will give way to the Eliakim, (“God is setting up”) ministry of the Sons of God who are covered with His Glory. Jesus Christ will cause His end-day prophets to be heard. The Shebna’s of today will give way to the Eliakim priesthood who hold the key of David.

In Revelation 3:7. The same words and intent was spoken by Jesus to the true church. Jesus described Himself here as “He that has the Key of David, He that opens and no man shuts, and shuts and no man opens”. Jesus fulfilled the Eliakim prophecy, but as a first-fruit opening the way for His Sons to take this ministry also.

To the church I urge you to seek the face of Jesus. The Holy Ghost will reveal truth which will set you free. You do not have to sit in bondage under Shebna ministries and fall with them. Place yourself by faith under the protection of those that hold the Key of David.

To the Sons of God I encourage you to stand firm. All that you have believed, all that you have paid the price for will come to pass. Things that must be, will be and the time is fast approaching where you will see the hand of God move in great power sweeping out the religious tabernacles and causing the voices of His prophets to be heard. Trust the Lord in all things. He will fulfill all his promises. See yourself in the favored place over your Father’s house. You have been nailed to the wall. You are to carry the government on your shoulders. Make haste, bow down and worship, for the Glory of the Lord is in you.

ALL GLORY TO JESUS
