DIVINE SUPPORT
In Isaiah 41:10 The Lord speaks a Glorious promise. This can be accepted broadly by any person who loves Him, but I want to project it from my spirit to the sons of God in this day and hour.
He says “Fear Not, Be Not Dismayed”.
The walk in Sonship has been, and is, a lonely walk, as the Father has been dealing with each one to change and perfect them. Whilst He has been performing His creation of the many-membered company of the Sons of God, each one has felt it personally and individually. There have no doubt been many times of loneliness, rejection, hurt and other feelings as the fire of God has been put to our natures.
The prophet here reminds us not to fear or to be dismayed (lit.“dazzled”,“lying wasted”). The promise of the Lord is:
• For I am thy God
• I will Strenghten you
• I will Help you
• I will uphold you with My right hand
Fear and dismay set in when we lose sight of the Lord. Ch. 40:27 infers that the Lord doesn’t care, but V 28 reminds that He is too Great to fail!. You can lose sight of this if you look at your circumstances and let them overwhelm you.
His promise is Glorious:
1. I am thy God. Never forget that He is. All that this means should consume us. He will never forsake us. He is in control of our lives and will bring us to perfection as our loving Father. This assurance and remembrance will drive out fear.
2. I will Strengthen you. “Strengthen” in the Hebrew means “harden”, “fortify”, “to cause to prevail”, “to make courageous”, and “to make of steadfast mind”. I like this last one that “He will make us of steadfast mind”. A good example of this is in Ruth 1:18 – when Naomi saw that Ruth was “Steadfastly Minded”, she left off reasoning with her. This strength of mind will cause people to be silenced before us. The strength of mind finds its source in who we are, and confidence that the Lord is with us. See in 2 Chronicles 13 – Abijah is king of Judah and Jeroboam over Israel, and there was war between them with Jeroboam’s army twice the size of Abijah’s. Abijah accuses Jeroboam of rebellion and worship of idols, declaring that the kingdom of Israel was given to David’s seed forever. Judah had remained faithful to the Lord. Abijah warned Jeroboam not to fight because he was fighting against the Lord. Jeroboam’s army ambushed Judah and had them trapped. Judah cried unto the Lord with trumpets and shouting. The Lord smote Jeroboam and Abijah slew them with a great slaughter. V 18 – The children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the Lord God of their fathers. You see, the Lord Strengthened them and they Prevailed despite their circumstance. No matter how great our circumstance, remember His promise of strength. Like Abijah if we act on that we will prevail against all odds.
3. I will Help you. This help is a “succoring”, or coming to our aid in times of need or difficulty. Hebrews 2:18 – because Jesus endured in His testing, He is able to succor or come to our aid in our times of trials. He birthed our endurance. In His succor is His endurance for our victory. The Overcomers reign with Him, and our overcoming is in Him. Hebrews Ch.3 goes on to say that because Jesus built the house by His enduring, He was counted more Glory than Moses. V 6, we are His house if we hold fast the confidence. His house will be filled with Glory. Beloved, remember His promise of Help. He will come to our aid and we will endure.
4. He will Uphold us with His Right Hand of Righteousness. With his Right Hand, he will keep us fixed. Psalm 63:8, David knew the Right Hand operation of the Lord: “my soul follows hard after thee, and Thy Right Hand upholds me”. His soul “adhered” to the Lord and he knew that the Lord would uphold him. In Isaiah 42:1-9, we see Jesus, the servant, the Elect, Upheld. The Father upheld Jesus for His ministry. V 6 – He was called in Righteousness, the Father held His hand, and the Father kept Him. He was given as a Light. Beloved, as it was between the Father and Jesus, so shall it be between Jesus and His Sons.
Psalm 73:23, assures us that as we are continually with Him, He holds our right hand. He guides with His counsel. We are not to seek the counsel of the ungodly. Being continually with Him is a conscious state of our Strengthened Mind. Do you have to find time to pray, or are you continually with Him? Stand in the promise of Strength and you find the fullness of the walk.
David knew this. Ps. 31:-
• he trusted
• he saw deliverance in Righteousness
• he saw Divine defence
• he sought for the Lord to lead and guide him
• he declared that the Lord was his Strength
The David heart understands this, but read the rest of the Psalm and see the trials facing him.
His Guidance is to do with His counsel. He will show us and lead us when our soul comes to a drought. See the glorious prophecy in Isaiah 58:11 – “the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters never fail”.
Does your soul feel in a drought? Perhaps you have given out until you have no more to give. Perhaps your circumstances have left you dry and you feel there is no rain. Perhaps you have not given out and only taken. Perhaps you have been walking in your own paths and doing your own pleasures. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will cause you to ride the high places, and you shall know His Guidance and Counsel.
“I have reserved an impartation of My Glory for the Living says the Lord. This can only be comprehended by a peculiar people. You know if you are peculiar. My Spirit witnesses to you that you are peculiar. I began working in your life in your youth. I was testing you when you didn’t even know it. I tested you to know your heart, and to search out the desire of your heart. Things happened in your life through which I saw your heart. My peculiar people have all tasted rejection and isolation. I used this to work in you brokenness and a humiliation so that when I appeared to you, you would respond to Me. If you could see your natural soul as I see it, you would see that My work is near completion. When something is created, the fine features are at the end of the process. I am working in you a work of beauty as a vessel to be greatly admired. My church day is coming to a close. My kingdom Day is dawning and I am looking with great expectation to My Sons. Do not be disappointed with My church or judge it, for I will rebuke you for this. Open your eyes of mercy and compassion for it, for it is like sheep without shepherds. You will be My servants to feed them. You will rejoice over them with joy in a little while. I will not promote you in My church day for they would stone you. Be at rest and love My people. I have not deserted them nor should you. Their failing is that they have not sought Me for things they have not known. They have only wanted the ingredients of their knowledge in different recipes. You My Sons are different for you sought that which you didn’t know and that is what I looked for in my Elect. Fear nothing. Let Me come forth in you in My fullness. I know your desires and I feel your frustrations. I am the almighty Jehovah. You are My beloved and I will respond to your cry to me. Never be ashamed before Me, I understand you. Be jealously proud of your calling and be faithful and even though you may not see all the answers, hear this, that I will make you perfect at the end of the process”.
ALL GLORY TO JESUS
