THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD
Often in our lives we feel that circumstances overwhelm us and we feel weak. In our walk with the Lord and particularly with the Sons of God, we know that we should be strong and victorious overcomers, yet we feel that things of life have made us weak and we can even fall into self condemnation and doubt. May this message perhaps help you to be lifted to the higher realm of His Strength where we can walk with His Victory birthed and grounded in Jesus Christ as we take on His Divine Nature.
Only the Holy Spirit can do this, so I commit this Word to Him that He will touch the hearts of those who truly seek His lifting up.
The Sons of God, His Faithful, will take on His Strength. The Lord will strengthen, renew and refresh us in His Holy Spirit to burn our human weaknesses from us and to partake of His Strength. This will happen in the process of perfecting by the Spirit of Glory.
I want to go right back to the sons of Jacob in Genesis 49:3. Jacob had twelve sons after whom the twelve tribes of Israel were named. Understand that names given in those days denoted the nature of the person. Reuben was his firstborn son and Jacob was so excited that he called him Reuben, meaning “behold, a son”. His expectation of Reuben was that he was to be his might, the beginning of his strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power. These are the five qualities of the Firstborn, and this is how the Sons of God are to the Lord. His Sons are His firstborn, and will bear these qualities.
Unfortunately, Reuben was unstable and could not excel or live up to his natural calling, and so the strength that was needed in a man, went to another son Joseph, who is the type of the Sons of God. You see the Lord took the sons of Jacob and from them looked for the hearts rather than their natural heritage. This is how the Lord chose David, and it is how He has chosen His Elect. There are many in religion who would claim the Reuben rank, but they do not excel because of their natural dominant passions.
The strength which we are talking about in this teaching is not physical, but strength of heart. It is the strength of Jesus own Divine Nature. This is the Strength which will be imparted as His Sons are perfected in the womb of their forming.
Now, from the sons of Jacob,
• Priesthood went to Levi
• Kingship went to Judah (v10 – “unto him shall the gathering of the people be”)
• Sonship went to Joseph
The Sons of God are the combination of these three, for priesthood changed from Levi to Judah to make the Melchisedec King/Priest minister born of an endless life, and Joseph received the double portion signified in Ephraim and Manasseh being bestowed on Joseph. This represents the double portion assigned to the Sons of God.
Joseph is the type of the Sonship calling, and Psalm105:19 tells us of him that his life was tried and tested. Sons of God, rejoice in the trials for this is our perfecting. All Praise and Worship to Jesus!.
Now back in Genesis 49, it says in V22 that Joseph is a fruitful bough by a well. The Sons of God draw living water and bear fruit which runs over the wall. Their fruit will be picked by others. V23 says that Joseph was persecuted and hated, which is also the testimony of the Sons of God. In V24, the difference between Joseph and Reuben is that Reuben was supposed to have strength, but it was only a human declaration called on him by man, but in contrast Joseph’s hands were made strong by the Hands of the Mighty God of Jacob. You see, his strength came from the Lord who made him strong. Religion is full of those with strength and power bestowed on them by man or even themselves, but the Sons of God are growing into full maturity in the Strength of the Lord.
Before his death, Moses also called blessings on the twelve tribes of Israel, recorded in Deuteronomy 33. In V17 - he says of Joseph that “his glory would be like the firstborn of his bullock and his unicorns”. These speak of Glory and Strength which are the attributes of Jesus’ Elect. The Strength of the Lord is part of His Glorious Divine Nature.
I want to encourage the Sons of God to rest in the knowledge that your hands will be made strong by the hand of the Mighty God of Jacob. If you are experiencing trials in your life, this will change by the Mighty hand of Jesus. It does not matter what people think of you or say about you. All that matters is that you know that Jesus cares. He knows your situation and He will strengthen you. It is a spiritual decree that His Strength is for us. This was found by David and recorded in Psalm31:24 – “BE OF GOOD COURAGE AND HE SHALL STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART, ALL YE THAT HOPE IN THE LORD”
Let me translate some of the meanings in this verse:
• Courage = “become strong”, or “the beginning of strength (similar to Reuben)
• Strengthen = “make you like a rock”
• Hope = “to wait” signifying patience
The Lord spoke these same words on two other occasions where He had raised up “new day servants”
1. To Joshua. Joshua1:7 – “only be thou strong and very courageous………v9”
2. To Solomon. Chronicles28:20 – “”be strong and of good courage and do it; fear not and do not break down, He will not fail you or forsake you……”
Beloved, these promises are for us! Not matter what, be patient, trust the promise and Jesus will strengthen your heart. In fact His Sons will have His Heart of Courage and Strength. What enabled Jesus to endure the cross? It was the prophetic word of David in Psalm16:10,11 which gave Jesus the Strength of God to face and endure what was before Him. It came by Him actually entering into the prophetic word of David. You see all His fountains are in Spiritual Zion!.
As I write, I feel the Lord wanting to give this prophetic word:
“Your natural strength has failed you many times and left you helpless and often in despair. It will only give you access to the natural realm, but it gets attacked and tired and leaves you defeated. Your natural strength of heart will fail you and leave you in a humanistic realm of confusion and defeat. But My Strength has its source in the Spirit surpassing the natural realm. My Strength has always been there for those who will find it, but I say to you My Elect that I have called My Strength over you at your birth and it will come forth in you as you enter into My Fullness. But know that My Fullness is your Fullness. It comes with My Divine Nature into which I have been moulding you. My Strength does not come from the human nature or the natural human will. My Strength comes from the Spirit of Glory. I would say to you to look beyond that which has failed you and stand in the Word which I give you. Begin to arise into who you are. As you will do that, you will see My Glory begin to shine in you and you will act and react as a New Man. Surrender your natural weaknesses to Me and I will cause you to arise with My Breath in your nostrils and you shall be born into My image and bear My Glory”.
I want to encourage His Faithful Ones to rest in His Word. Hope, wait, stay, tarry, and trust in the Lord. Read Psalm119:49, 50. The Word gives us hope. It gives us comfort in affliction and quickens us. “Quicken” here, means “to give and preserve Life”. Jesus is the Word, He is Life and Immortality. He is preparing a people soon to be revealed who will have His Life and Glory in them. I know that this is a hard word to receive by both the natural and religious person, because the human mind is conditioned to accept death. But what if the prophets of this Truth are of God?
If you are reading this and you have rejected the message of Sonship and “stoned His prophets”, have you ever considered that you could be wrong? The Day of the Lord is at hand. Look for His appearing in His Manchild, for Jesus is soon to birth His Kingdom on this earth. To those that willingly oppose and despise His prophets, you oppose the Lord Himself. In Psalm105:15, the Lord warns against touching and harming His prophets. I have had a pastor of a Pentecostal denomination call me a heretic for believing this Word. Amazing. You are a heretic for proclaiming the Glory of The Lord and His Exaltation. Well, I don’t have his multi-million dollar building to boast of, nor do I want it. But I will proclaim this Word from the mountain of Zion, and give all Honour and Praise and Glory to Jesus my Saviour and Lord.
To the Sons of God, I want to say that our heritage is in Zion on the Throne of David. All that David foresaw and prophesied was a foundation stone. Jesus knew it and He sits on the Throne as the Lion of David’s Judah. All that David spoke, and prophesied is for us to stand on as we come into Jesus’ perfection and image.
I love Psalm18. In V1, David declares that the Lord is his Strength. In V2, he declares that the Lord is his Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, his God, Strength, Buckler, the Horn of his Salvation, and his High Tower. What a Glorious testimony! What a foundation. David put his trust in all of these attributes which he found in his Lord.
Our natural human strength is not even strength, it is weakness. When you recognize this truth, then you can exchange your weakness for Jesus’ Strength. The apostle Paul said “when I am weak, then I am strong”. Natural and Spiritual pride will prevent you from seeing that you are weak. Only a broken spirit and contrite heart will lead to the Heart of God. Hebrews11:33,34 says that His servants of old were made strong in weakness. Through FAITH they subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises and stopped the mouths of lions. David is included in the rollcall of these heroes of faith. You see they were not just words in Psalm18, David actually trusted into the Lord. His testimony in that Psalm is that “I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God”. “He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears”.
I speak to the Sons of God. You will come into the Strength of the Lord. Like David, set the Lord always before your face. You are called into His Glory and Divine Nature. Run into your “High Tower”. He is your refuge and strength. Wait patiently before Him and Trust. Do not even consider natural strength but see it as weakness in the Spirit. The Spirit of Glory has been commissioned to change the Elect of Jesus into His image. Count your trials and difficult circumstances as victories for this shall surely Glorify the Lord.
To Christians and those locked in the religious system who read this and wonder what I am talking about, seek the face of Jesus. That is where the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God shines. No other place. It’s not in your forms, traditions, denominations or even your “ministry team”. Ask the Lord to reveal truth to you and the Truth will make you free. If you are in a church and scared to think or move without permission, you need to get out. Spiritual domination is not of the Lord. Zion is the place of the Glorious liberty of the Sons of God. Ask Jesus, He will lead you to Zion.
Before I close this message, I feel the Lord telling me that there is a person reading this who feels lost. It is as if you are a child who has strayed from home and you don’t know the way back and you feel lost. More than that, you are scared. You look around and the world is alien to you. It offers no help. There is somebody that has looked for answers in the world and dabbled in the occult and you are confused and you too feel lost. But with these feelings you feel a “drawing” right now deep inside you. This is the Holy Spirit speaking to your spirit gently wooing you to Jesus. He is the Lamb of God slain for the sin of the world. He died on the cross and shed His spotless Blood for you. He Loves you. He does not condemn you. To the one who is lost, come home to Jesus. He will save you and take away that fear. To the one searching for the answer, your answer is the person of Jesus. He has been there all the time, but you didn’t know. He calls you now. He will deliver that one from the occult. If you are sick, there is healing for you in the Name of Jesus. I lead you right now to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for you and that he arose from the dead victorious over sin and death. You can be born-again right now by simply confessing this to God and asking the Lord Jesus Christ to come into you as you surrender self to Him and accept Him as your personal Saviour. Do it right now. I plead with you. There is no other answer, There is no other way to Salvation and peace. If you need healing, I ask you to exercise Faith as I pray right now that you be healed in Jesus Name.
May Jesus Christ be Exalted as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
