RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS
This is a subject so precious and Glorious that I would prefer to keep it as a treasure in my own heart, however I feel The Lord leading me to share on it so I commit this Word to His Glory and Exaltation and believe that the eyes and ears of the readers be opened to His revelation and Truth. Some things said here may not sit comfortably with your thinking, but have peace that my only desire is to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord.
The apostle Peter who walked with Jesus, was so close to His heart and in fact one of His three favourite disciples (yes, Jesus did have favourites and still does), gives insight into this Truth of Restoration when he is addressing a crowd of Jews after the ascension of Jesus, and just after Jesus had healed the lame man through Peter’s faith in His Name.
[At this point I want to pause and say that Jesus Christ is “Jehovah Rapha”, “The Lord who Heals”. This is one of His Names which clearly denotes that He is lovingly and faithfully committed to the physical healing of those who put their trust in His Name. If you have a need for physical healing right now you can call on His Name in faith and He will honor your prayer. I have seen many people healed by the Power of Jesus Christ. My own brother Jon was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in 2001 and told that he would be dead in three months. Jon believed by faith in the miracle Power of Jesus Christ and I want to thank and Praise The Lord that Jon lived a further 10 years as a testimony to the person of Jesus Christ. He cares for you, and right now if you have a need for physical healing, I want you to exercise simple faith in Jesus for your healing as I pray for you. “Jesus, I honor you that you died for our sicknesses and that by your stripes we were healed. I now pray for this one reaching out to you and in the Name of Jesus I take authority over that sickness and command in Jesus Name that you be healed". Now, back to the topic. We read in Acts 3, that in his sermon from V 11, Peter, speaking of Jesus death and resurrection, calls the Jews to repentance, revealing to them the “times of refreshing which shall come from the presence of the Lord”, which he was relating to them.
Now, in V 21, Peter actually speaks as a prophet, declaring that Jesus has been received into Heaven, “UNTIL THE TIMES OF RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS” which as Peter says, God has spoken of through His prophets since the world began. He goes on to mention Moses, Samuel, and all those after him. Peter is clearly prophesying of a future time after the ascension of Jesus to the Heavens. So this will be a future move of The Lord, further to the first coming of Jesus to this earth 2000 years ago as the Saviour of the world.
His prophecy prompts two questions:
1. when is the time, and
2. what will be restored
1. The first coming of Jesus was as the Saviour of the world and after His ascension to the Heavens, Jesus did return secondly to the earth in the person of His Holy Spirit, to build His church. He appeared to His disciples in the form of His Holy Spirit and they were filled with the holy Ghost and power. It was not only His initial disciples, but later many people who became His followers on the earth. This has continued through the years in His church, and I praise The Lord for the precious Pentecostal outpouring of His Spirit and His anointing in His true born-again believers. We understand quite obviously that Jesus has run His Church Day by His Holy Spirit in His people. Whilst this was a “second coming again” to the earth, He did not come physically Himself. People accept this because it is True.
There is to be a third return or coming of Jesus to the earth, again in the form of an infilling of His people. This time the people will be His Elect who will be filled with His Glory as they have been conformed to His Divine Nature. The Elect are the Manchild Company revealed in Revelation12, who will come forth from the womb of their mother the church. So in the church in this generation, there is a company called and chosen, whom The Lord has been perfecting in the furnace of affliction, who will birth His Kingdom Day on the earth and usher in His Glorious 1000 year rule and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords on this earth.
With this third coming however, there is a problem, because most of the Christian church is waiting for Jesus personal physical appearing to rescue them, and take them off the earth in what they call the physical “rapture”. I believe that The rapture is actually a Spiritual “catching up”, not into the physical clouds, but into the Spiritual Cloud of his Glory. This is the same Cloud of Glory which filled the Holy of Holies. Israel of old, was also looking for an earthly deliverer, and they missed His coming as the babe of Bethlehem. The apostle Paul says “to look for His appearing in His saints”, but again His appearing is being missed by His people today. If Jesus comes personally and physically to set up His Kingdom Day, He would have to divest Himself again of His Glory to enter the lower realm and HE WILL NOT DO THAT EVER AGAIN. He did that once to bear the sin of the world. Let’s assume that He does come physically in this 21st. century to establish His Kingdom Day. How do those that believe this, picture him. In an office somewhere?. Would He wear a suit?. Would He own a car?. Would He fly places?. Would He have a mobile phone? or will He just walk the streets and beaches like 2000 years ago? Or will He infill a people through whom He will outwork His Glory as He has done in his church day.
So the answer to Peter’s prophecy of “when”, is that He will appear in His people, The sons of God, chosen just as His disciples were. I believe that we are in the early hours of the Kingdom Day with the soon appearing of His Elect who shall appear in His Glory. This will be when His Sons are perfected in the womb of His forming.
2. What will be Restored? Peter’s prophecy simply says “ALL THINGS”. What are these “all things?”. Well, if they are going to be restored, they must be things which have been lost!. There will be a Restoration of All Disorders since the fall of Adam, and the Restoration of the way to the Tree of Life and perfection. This again will be a choice and not all will accept the words of the prophets. The disorders extended into all of creation and the influence of evil in the heart of man.
The apostle Paul says in Romans 8:19-22: “for the earnest expectation of creation waits for the uncovering or revealing, of the Sons of God. For the creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who has subjected it to hope. Because the creation itself shall also be delivered from the bondage of corruption, into the Glorious liberty of the Sons of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now”.
Furthermore, he says in V23, “‘not only creation, but we who have the firstfruits of the Spirit groan within ourselves waiting the salvation of our body”. Since the fall, physical death came on the human race. Paul had seen that Salvation extended to the physical body. In V18, he says “I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed in us. You see, the Glory, or Divine Nature of Jesus Christ coming into us is a further operation of the Spirit of God. When this happens, physical death cannot touch us because we are in the image of Jesus who has defeated death which has no hold over Him. He has conquered it FOR US. The Sons of God happen to be a group of Christian believers who actually see this, believe it and enter into the Holy of Holies back to the Tree of Life.
The Sons of God are on this earth soon to be revealed as the “priesthood” of Jesus Kingdom Day on this earth, when all things will be Restored to Him, to His Exaltation as the creator and Saviour of the world.
Paul said that the creation is in the “bondage of corruption”. 2 Peter1:4 says that this is because of the lust in the heart of fallen man. God created Adam a perfect man, but when he disobediently partook of the realm of “the knowledge of good and evil”, sin and evil entered into the heart of man and God’s punishment for this was physical death. Even though this happened, the love and mercy of God has provided a way back through Jesus Christ.
This evil in the heart of man is the reason for what we see in the world today. Wars, hatred, greed, perversion, hunger, plagues, economic disaster etc.. Beloved, no man, government, United Nations, organisation, or any such thing will stop or fix these things. ONLY THE POWER OF THE GLORY OF JESUS CHRIST CAN DELIVER CREATION AND MAN FROM ITS PRESENT BONDAGE!!, and He will.
Isaiah 59:14 reveals the four-fold earthly problem:
1. righteous judgement is turned away backward
2. justice is afar off
3. truth has fallen
4. equity cannot enter
and 1 John 2:16 reveals the three-fold state of fallen man:
1. the lust of the flesh
2. the lust of the eyes
3. the pride of life
These things need little explaining, but Glory to Jesus, they shall all bow to His Restoration Power.
I personally believe that Jesus Christ will have the total Glory of Restoring all things whether in the earthly or spiritual realms unto Himself.
The Blood He shed on the cross is more powerful than any sin, demon or even satan himself. His resurrection was more powerful than satan’s hold on death, as Jesus now holds the keys of death and hell. Jesus has complete power and authority over hell, satan and his cohorts. His Holy Spirit is more powerful than demon spirits, and His Love and Truth are greater than hatred and lying spirits. The realm of His presence is all Glorious and has Spiritual authority over the realms of darkness and the occult. His angelic host and army are more powerful than the demons of hell, and His Word carries the creative power to defeat any false, lying and deceptive word from satan, the father of lies. Jesus Christ is the creator of all things and all things are subject to His Word. His Wisdom is Divine and all powerful above the intellect of man. His Elect will be given all Power and Authority to cause wonders. Their words will have creative Power.
SATAN AND EVERY DEMON WILL BOW THEIR KNEES TO JESUS CHRIST!
In His Kingdom Day on this earth His Glory will cover the earth. All things will be subject to the creative Word which shall be spoken By His Elect. This Word will carry the Power of Jesus to Restore and re-create the disorders since the fall. This Day will be a day of the greatest ingathering of the lost ever seen on this planet, because satan and his demons will be bound and stripped of their control. There will be no influence of evil on the earth and men’s hearts will melt on the Great and Glorious day of The Lord.
Governments, kings and leaders will embrace the Elect of God as they impart the Wisdom of God to every earthly disorder. This truly will be the Day of Peace and Rest unto The Lord as He is Exalted as The King of all Kings. What a Glorious time that will be. We are going to see this in our generation. The time is short and these things will come to pass.
As the apostle Paul said to the people in his day, in Hebrews 9:5, that there were some things of which he could not then speak about, so too at this time. There are moves of God laid down for mankind, reserved for a further act of His Love, Mercy and Power about which the prophets of God cannot yet speak. Let me say however, that in the book of Revelation, the “lake of fire and brimstone” spoken of, the word “brimstone” actually has the same Greek root as “Godliness”, and “lake” has the same root as “Haven” and “Refuge” “Fire” in scripture speaks of the purging of the Holy Spirit, judgement for sin, and the Holiness of God. If you see in the Spirit, this lake takes on a totally different image of Restoration and purging to the Glory of Jesus Christ rather than of destruction. The lake of fire and brimstone can be seen as a Glory to Jesus Christ and the height and power of the Loving nature of Almighty God that all evil and rejection of Him would be destroyed, purged and Restored to His Exaltation and Glory. I am not for one moment condoning the works of satan and all evil forces, and condemn them with their birth place of rebellion and pride, but I know that Jesus Christ is Greater than them all. Think on these things.
[To any reading this message right now, if you are not born again, that is if you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as your Saviour, I urge you to do it right now. Pause from reading, and act on the faith which God has given every person to accept Jesus. If you will believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for your sin and that He rose from the dead then you will be saved. Say this simple prayer: “Jesus I confess that you died for me to reconcile me back to God. I ask you to come into my life and cause me to be born-again. I surrender my life to you and acknowledge you as my Saviour”. If you have prayed this prayer, you are born-again Praise God. I counsel you to get a Bible, read it and start a new life of walking with The Lord. Ask Him to guide you and lead you, He will. Bless you.]
Now, in Acts 3:21 we saw that we are currently in a period of waiting until Jesus appears in His Sons unto the day of Restitution of All Things which God spoke by His prophets since the world began. This desire for Restoration is not some theory which has just been revealed to the Elect in this generation, it started with the prophets since creation. The perfection Adam lost has been desired in the hearts of His prophets since Adam lost it. It is in my heart also and I believe for it. Before Eve was tempted, God’s order was in His created Perfection, but was lost by Adam. This is the point of Restoration. One of the following must happen:
• We are restored to pre-fall Adam but without the possibility of falling like he did. For this God would have to remove our ability to choose, but then we would not be in His image and we must worship Him by choice, so we must have choice.
• Satan is destroyed in order that he could no longer tempt the re-created Adam race. But this has an underlying fear factor of his continual supremacy over our re-created nature. But I know that God’s Nature is ultimate perfection and in His image so too we, and God cannot be tempted, therefore neither could we. In any case Jesus has stripped satan of his power and we should have no fear of him.
• How much more Glory to the Lord to see satan and his fallen angels emerge from the lake of burning and Godliness where their pride and rebellion was destroyed forever, and restored to a lower realm of never ending praise and worship to Jesus Christ standing as a perpetual reminder forever of the victory of Jesus Christ over satan. Joining this never ending chorus would be those who rejected Jesus on this earth emerging from sheol as a perpetual exaltation of Jesus to their own sorrow and shame. Just a thought of mine.
I just happen to believe that Jesus Christ is worthy of all praise and worship from every thing ever created. David sees creation Praising Him. It is expected from the redeemed, and How Glorious to hear it from those to whom He is their Saviour and Lord, reflecting their joy and the fruit of their faith. How rightful and just it would be to hear it from those who have rejected, denied, and even killed the Lord of Glory, reflecting their sorrow, shame and pride now subordinated to their declaration of humility and worship.
I would rather see every person who has rejected Jesus Christ and even satan himself, caused to bow down and worship Him forever as a perpetual confession of their evil and their witness that Jesus is Lord, than to give them the easier sentence of destruction. If you don’t agree with this thought, then just reject it – that’s OK. My words simply reflect my absolute desire to see Jesus Christ exalted and confessed by every opposing foe since creation. However, it will be the will and purpose of God and not of man which unfolds and I live for that.
The idea of Restoration goes back to the Old Testament prophets as we saw. They foresaw the exile, but they also prophesied that God would Restore His people to their own land. This was not ideal, and the prophets still looked for a further Restoration of prosperity and bliss. The Jews looked for material prosperity and missed their Messiah.
In the full sense Restoration is yet future and in Acts 3, Peter sees this whole subject of Prophecy from the very first. In Acts 1:6, before Jesus ascension, His disciples were even asking about Restoration. Jesus discourages their speculation, but does not deny that it will be. It is legitimate to infer that Jesus will Restore all things to pre-fallen man, and this sits in some hearts to include the vision of universal salvation.
In Isaiah 64:4, the prophet declares: “since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what You have prepared for them that waiteth for You”. Paul quotes this scripture later in 1 Corinthians 2:9, but adds to it in V 10: “but God hath revealed unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches ALL THINGS yea the deep things of God”.
You see you will never work out by the intellect even this subject of Restoration. They can only be seen by the revelation of the Spirit of God. These are Deep things and even the Spirit of God searches them.
Man’s natural “I think’s” mean nothing. Religious traditional ideas and teachings mean nothing unless they come from the revelation of the Holy Spirit.
I challenge you to think about why you believe certain things. Is it because your particular denomination thinks and teaches them? Is it because they were handed down to you by tradition?
The only truth that matters or counts is that which the Holy Spirit has searched and reveals as Truth.
When is the last time you heard an anointed prophet speak in your church or to you personally? When did you last leave a church meeting “trembling at the word of the prophecy”?
I will stand out and declare right now that the end-time prophets of God are not welcome in most churches today. The reason is simple. The church leaders of today want to control and dominate people, and therefore they have to control what is preached. I challenge these leaders to invite an end-time prophet into your pulpits. I think not. But the day is coming where the Lord will put them there and the starving sheep will be fed with food they have never been given.
I sadly heard a man telling me recently that he was preaching in his particular church the next week, but he had been given by the leader what he was to say.
Beloved, we are about to enter the birthing of Jesus Kingdom Day. His manifestation will be Glorious and His Priesthood will be like rain falling on dry ground, and like a fresh wind blowing throughout the land. They will come as streams in the dessert and paths in the wilderness. The seed of David will carry the ark of Jesus Presence from the legal Mosaic religious system into the midst of His people bringing a Glorious release into His Presence with the sacrifices of Praise from the heart. Ears will be opened and eyes to see the Glorious Voice of The Lord.
