THE COVENANT OF SALT
May the Holy Spirit Bless you as you read this message. I want to encourage the Sons of God that your hearts be confirmed in your calling, that we arise unto the dawning of the Day of The Lord in His full Image and Perfection. No matter where you are at in the perfecting process, know that the Spirit of Glory is working in you. I Bless the Sons of God who have heard the trumpet call to the Feast of Tabernacles. We are to birth the Kingdom Day of The Lord Jesus Christ on this earth as we bring His Glory into all creation which travails awaiting our appearing. My dear brothers and sisters in the womb, know that you are not alone for the same things you have experienced have been the working of the Lord in the womb of his forming and this Manchild will be born with a Divine Nature and you will forget the tears of the night time hours.
If you are a born-again Christian reading this and you do not understand what I have just written, then humble yourself and ask the Holy Ghost to reveal Truth to you. There are those that will reject these teachings through religious pride and lack of knowledge, but Jesus promised that if you seek you shall find. This same Sonship Truth is held by a company of believers worldwide. I hear from people in England, USA, and in my own country Australia, who have surrendered to His Call and form the many-membered company of the Sons of God. Amongst them is no division, no doctrinal or religious idols, just the desire to be changed into His Divine Nature and pass from physical death into His Glorious Resurrection whilst in the body. If this word is new to you, and it lights in your spirit, pray for His Kingdom to come for in that Day, His New Priesthood on the earth will have His authority to bring you into your full redemption. Resist the lies of the enemy and flee from the bondage of religion and let your heart seek the Face of Jesus, for there you will see the Light of the Knowledge of His Glory. May the Spirit of Revelation open your eyes.
If you are reading this and you have never been born-again, then you need to hear that Jesus Christ died on the cross at Calvary for the sin of the world which included you. He loves you and tenderly calls you to accept Him as your Saviour. This is quite simple although it takes an act of your faith which Jesus will honour. If you will confess that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sin, and if you will believe that He was raised from the Dead, you will be saved. You can simply ask him to come into your heart right now and you will be born-again in your spirit. Get a Bible and read it. Pray to God in the Name of Jesus and He will begin to do miracles in your life. Ask Him to lead you into all Truth. Bless you.
Now to “The Covenant of Salt”.
The thing to understand about the Priests of God in Israel is that they were special unto the Lord and that He had a special statute for them. The Old Testament priestly tribe of Israel were the Levites. The principal thing about His priests is that, Numbers 18:20, “they had no inheritance among the people, for the Lord Himself was their Portion and their Inheritance”. This simply meant that His priesthood were a special people with their substance and inheritance in The Lord Himself, not in the rest of the tribes of Israel. They were separated unto God. In V22, Israel could not approach the presence of The Lord because of their human nature and if they did they would die. BUT V23, the Priesthood were able to enter even bearing the iniquity of Israel. They didn’t die as they were chosen by The Lord. It became a perpetual statute that the children of Israel had no such inheritance because of their humanity.
Beloved, there is Priesthood today after the Order of Melchizedek (the King/Priest ministry born after the image of God) who have no portion with the church. These are the Sons of God whose Inheritance is in The Lord Himself. Their Substance is in The Lord. This means that the Sons of God are fed from Jesus, and their Inheritance is The Lord Himself as they take on His Divine Nature and Immortality. Glory to Jesus!
Numbers 18 sets out the Lord’s portions for the Priesthood. V 12,”All the Best first-fruits of the Corn, Wine and Oil, The Lord gave to them”. In the Bible:
• Corn is the type of the Word of God
• Wine is the type of the Holy spirit
• Oil is the type of Anointing
The Sons of God have been given the Best of these. What a Glorious work of The Lord. What a humbling privilege for the Sons of God. But understand that this is not to exalt them but that they might serve The Lord on His Kingdom Day in the Most Holy Place of his Presence. Some may find it difficult to accept this teaching because it speaks of a new order, but that does not alter or negate God’s own order. All things will be fulfilled in God’s plan for man. There are things yet to come to pass. That is what the book of Revelation is about. The same things were given to the prophets of old. David was a prophet, and through him The Lord laid foundations for later out-workings even in the life of Jesus. I lovingly urge you not to reject new teachings. There are prophets in the land. They are crying in the wilderness. You will not hear these things from the church pulpits of today. They are not learnt in the theological colleges of today (which makes them “untheological” actually). These truths are being revealed to the end-time prophets of God. I sometimes visit Pentecostal meetings, to praise the Lord, and my heart burns to walk to the platforms and break open the Glorious prophetic Words of Truth. I know that these meetings are full of hungry sheep. I wonder what the apostle Paul would do? I have not seen or heard a true end-time teaching prophet in the church system of today. I am not being critical of those preachers in these meetings, who are true to their calling, but I see the sheep hungry and I know that the Lord cares for them and will feed them if they heed the prophets of God.
Now in Numbers 18:19, The Lord said that the offerings which Israel gave Him, belonged to the Priesthood “by a statute forever: IT IS A COVENANT OF SALT forever before the Lord unto the priests and their seed with them”. Blessed be the Name of Jesus! This is so deep in the Lord, that it can only be understood in the womb of the Manchild’s forming.
What is THE COVENANT OF SALT?
Leviticus 2:13 says that all meat offerings of Israel of old were to be seasoned with salt. The salt of the Covenant of their God was not to be lacking from their offering. Salt kept the offering free of corruption and impurity. This was the only offering acceptable to the Lord. The only offerings which David found were those of a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Friends, these are the only offerings acceptable unto God, for those that worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth. How often do you hear some leader say “let us worship God with our monetary offerings”? – and then they take up a financial collection, when in fact they should fall before Him with a broken spirit and contrite heart, for with such sacrifices He is well pleased. The monetary offering box should be left at the exit door for those who wish to contribute to the natural expenses as they are able. After the monetary collection, they say a prayer asking God to accept the offerings! Why does He need our money when all He wants is your heart? When the heart is right the box at the door will be full.
In Numbers, The Lord makes an everlasting Covenant of Salt to His Priesthood. This culminated in the promise of a Portion and Inheritance In Him, and He seasoned the promise with the salt of Incorruption and Purity. Blessed be the Name of Jesus! Why did the Lord have a special order for these priests? The answer is in Numbers 18:31 – “…it is your reward for your service in the Tabernacle”. Whilst these things were requirements under the Mosaic Law, they hold Spiritual shadow of things which were to come. The Sons of God will be rewarded. Their reward will be the joy of birthing Jesus Kingdom Day and bringing his church from Babylon to Spiritual Jerusalem for The Feast of Tabernacles. What a reward – to come into Jesus Divine Nature and serve Him in the Holy of Holies. The reward for passing through the flaming sword of his burning at the gate of the Garden of Eden, will be to eat of the Tree of Life which is the Resurrection Life of Jesus. Now, I want to go to 2 Chronicles 13:1-20.
Jeroboam is king over the ten tribes of Israel, and Abijah is king of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. Names are significant in the Bible as they portray the nature and behavioral character of the person.
• Jeroboam literally means “enlarger” (of self)
• Abijah literally means “Jehovah is my Father”
Jeroboam had rebelled against The Lord and led Israel into idolatry. He had ousted the Levites who were the anointed priesthood, and replaced them with idolatrous priests after the manner of the world. Remember that by his nature he is an “enlarger of self”.
Does this man sound familiar to you? Beloved, religion today is breaking at its seams with the “Jeroboams” of today, who are building unto themselves with a priesthood appointed by men. The true prophets of God are generally absent from the church scene having given way to these impostors presenting a programme to enlarge their religious organisations unto their own promotion. The competitive spirit of denominationalism looks to promote individuals with natural flair and charisma into their “Bible Colleges”, to train for ministry as they think that these ones will have marketing advantages. As with Jeroboam, they appoint “priests” after the manner of the world. It’s like as in business, giving the job to the most appealing candidate. As to whether this person is appointed and anointed of the Holy Spirit seems to be unimportant.
I am reminded of an incident in Australia where a very successful jockey with extensive public image became born-again in the Pentecostal church, and almost immediately an Australian national Pentecostal denomination whisked him into their “Bible College”. He retired as a jockey, declaring his new career. This man would have great appeal to the people. I felt for this man, and discerned that this was not God’s doing, but man’s. Well, he finished their training, and seemed a disillusioned man. After a short while he returned to his profession as a jockey, probably serving the Lord in the scene to where he was called. They could have ruined this man, but the Lord saved him from their clutches.
Now, Abijah the King of Judah saw the real Jeroboam and publicly exposed him. War was set between Israel and Judah, with Jeroboam’s troops outnumbering Judah’s 800,000 to 400,000. Jeroboam gathered to himself vain, empty men, children of Belial (worthless, lawless, reckless men). It came to pass that Judah were ambushed and surrounded on all sides by Israel’s troops. Judah cried unto the Lord and their priests sounded with trumpets as the men of Judah gave a shout. That day Israel was defeated as 500,000 of their men were slain.
In V 12, look at Abijah’s declaration of war:
• God Himself is our Captain
• God’s Priests sound trumpets of alarm against you
• If you fight against The Lord god you will not prosper
How Great and Mighty is the Lord towards those who put their Trust in Him. This was where Judah’s victory was won even before the battle started.
Now, the Strength of Abijah (“Jehovah is my Father”) and Judah is revealed in Verses 5&8:
• V 5 – “The Lord God of Israel gave the Kingdom over Israel to DAVID for ever and to his sons by a COVENANT OF SALT”.
• V 8 – “Do you think you can withstand the Kingdom of The Lord in the hand of the Sons of David?”
The key to their victory was in the heart of Abijah and his understanding of the Kingdom of David and of the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, the Kingdom of Jesus does not belong to the self enlarging religious order of the rebellious Jeroboam’s of today; it belongs to David’s seed, the people of praise. The Kingdom Day of Jesus on this earth will be ministered by the Priests of God, found on David’s throne sealed by God’s Covenant of Salt.
Praise unto Jesus! The Davidic Covenant found in Psalm 89, is seasoned with the Godly Salt of Immortality and Purity. The Kingdom was given to David’s Sons under this same Salt.
Sons of God, we have a Glory Covenant of Immortality. The Kingdom belongs to the throne of David and his offspring Jesus, and to His Sons in Zion. We are the true Priests who will birth this victory with trumpets and cries of alarm unto the dawning of the Day of The Lord. We have a Covenant not subject to corruption!
Do the Jeroboam’s of today think that they will withstand the Kingdom of Jesus which is in the hand of the Sons of David? The Abijahs are in the land chosen as valiant ones with Jesus Himself standing with them as their Captain as they are ready to sound the trumpet in Zion calling to The Great Feast of His Glory.
David’s Understanding of the Covenant
Look at the last words of David in 2 Samuel 23: -
V 2 “the Spirit of the Lord spoke by me…”. David was a prophet
V 3 “the God of Israel, the Rock of Israel spoke to me”. David heard from the
Rock of Israel
V 4 “he that rules in the fear of God, will be as the Light of the Morning
when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds!” (selah). You
see, David saw his throne being the Morning Light. Blessed be the Name
of Jesus. He has preserved by Covenant a seed on David’s throne who
shall be the Light of the Kingdom morning.
V 5 “God has made with me an everlasting Covenant in all things and it is
sure” (i.e. God would watch over it to perform it)
The Covenant of Salt that The Lord made with David still stands because it is sure. The inheritance of His Priesthood still stands. This is a new priesthood. Hebrews 7:11 This New Priesthood has arisen after the Order of Melchizedek. The old priesthood were the Levites, but the New Order Priests are out of Judah, which was the tribe of David, and v 14 says “ it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah”. V 15 “and it is far more evident that another priest arises similar to Melchizedek, who is not made after human appointment, but after the Power of an Endless Life”.
David prophesied this in Psalm 110:4 “Thou art a Priest forever after the Order of Melchizedek”.
You see, the Kings came out of Judah, but now the New Priesthood also comes from Judah, so we have the King/Priest ministry of Jesus the first-fruit of His Sons the seed of David.
The Covenant of Salt was to the priesthood and to David.
To the Sons of God, the Lord would encourage you by His Word. You were born after the Covenant to David, and you have the transfiguring Glory of Jesus Christ in your spirit soul and body. You were bold enough to believe Jesus when He said to your heart “he that eats of Me shall Live by Me”, and “he that eats of this Bread shall Live Forever”. The Lord guards His Covenant and nothing shall cause it to fail. Be patient, steadfast, and honor your calling and the Lord will perform His Word into your Life. Let the offering of a broken spirit and contrite heart be your testimony. Stand in the Covenant of Salt for this will honor the Lord as He brings to fullness His Sons in His image.
Jesus said that there is a Salt in the earth. These are they today:
• who hear the Word of the Rock of Israel
• who eat of His flesh
• who partake of His Immortality in the body
• who are trees by the Pure River of Life proceeding from the Throne yielding their fruit and whose leaves are for the healing of the nations.
• who spring from David’s Judah
• who stand in the Purity and Incorruption of Jesus Covenant
